Mainstream adjustable dumbbells have a documented history of November markdowns. Specialty strength brands tend to run a modest site-wide code with limited weekly deals. That pattern is the whole strategy. If you are within a few weeks of late November and you want a Bowflex, wait. Reliably discounted: mainstream adjustable dumbbells
The clearest pattern in the category is the Bowflex SelectTech 552. For Black Friday 2025 it sold at $399 against a list price of nearly $500, per InsideHook’s November 24, 2025 report; on November 30, 2023 it ran as a Best Buy deal of the day at $299.99 against a stated $430 regular price. Two data points are not a guarantee, but they are a track record, and the same holiday-traffic logic that produced them still applies. Garage Gym Reviews’ 2025 tracker also listed Bowflex offering “save $600 on weights and benches” through November 30 — a headline figure across a bundle, not a single-item discount, which is worth remembering when a similar banner appears this year.
Modestly discounted: specialty strength brands
REP Fitness ran “Black November” from November 3 through December 1, 2025 with a 10% off-everything code (REP10) over the Black Friday weekend and weekly rotating deals that, in REP’s own words, “only last the week and are based on inventory.” Its Black Friday FAQ excludes non-REP-branded items, pre-orders, and gift cards from the code. Titan Fitness advertised “up to 65% off” select barbells, weight sets, and machines in the same tracker — an “up to” figure, which by definition is the ceiling on select items, not a catalog-wide rate. In 2025, then, this tier looked like roughly ten percent site-wide plus a few deeper, inventory-limited deals that sold out.
Rarely discounted on price: premium brands and heavy goods
Rogue’s “Matte Black November” is not a site-wide sale. In the 2025 coverage we checked it consisted of quantity-limited “Hot Deals” (“once they are gone, they are gone”), per-pound “Hundo” volume pricing on plates, and a five-items-ship-for-$5 offer — and it is the brand’s only big sale of the year. NÜOBELL’s official store (SMRTFT) ran free shipping on all NÜOBELL dumbbells as its Black Friday and Cyber Monday offer, not a price cut; the one deep discount we found on the 5–80 lb set was a 20% department-store code in January 2023, and a commenter on that deal had “never seen [them] significantly discounted like this before.” Barbells, plates, and rubber flooring are heavy and expensive to ship, and the promotions we found on them were shipping and volume deals, not sticker cuts.
Cheap anyway: small-ticket Amazon-listed gear
The budget brands this site recommends — CAP, FLYBIRD, YOLEO, Yes4All, Amazon Basics, ProsourceFit — appear in November deal roundups, but at prices that are ordinary low, not dramatic. A November 28, 2025 roundup listed a Yes4All kettlebell at $38.75 and a CAP utility bench at $75.99 with no previous price stated. Amazon-listed gear discounts through clip-on coupons, Lightning Deals, and list-price changes at unpredictable times all year, which is exactly why every price on this site is pulled live and dated rather than quoted from a sale.

How to judge a deal when it lands
Ignore the crossed-out price. A struck-through “was” number is the comparison sellers want you to make and the least reliable one available. Compare against where the item actually sat in October — the section above is here so you have that number.
Know the deal formats. On Amazon, a genuine list-price drop is the real thing. A clip-on coupon is real money too, but it expires and it can be pulled mid-day. A Lightning Deal is quantity-limited. A “save $600” banner from a brand is usually a bundle total, not a single-item discount. Read what the number actually applies to before you decide it is a deal.
Price the whole purchase. On heavy gear, shipping and return terms can matter more than a small sticker difference — which is exactly why the premium brands compete on shipping in November. A rack that ships free at full price can beat a rack that is ten percent off with freight added.
